About:
Flour was
the first film completed by
Broken Biscuit Productions. it
was shot between 30th January
2004 and 27th February.
It premiered on the
17th March 2004 at the Cube
Cinema, Bristol to members of the
public.
Story
When
GM Crops cross-pollinate with
Flour, all hell breaks loose.
Flour, becomes an outlawed,
Class-A drug, sought after by the
most devious of characters.
Enter Mike,
a seminal hero thrust into the
harrowing world of the flour.
Harbouring a darker side,
carrying around a jazzy handgun,
wielding a spiffy and curious
mobile telephone, and getting
down and dirty in the white-stuff
with some downright spurious
characters. Joined by Grenvil,
the spurious and completely
bizarre owner of a house, and
Grahem, a drug dealer whose
parents could have been dyslexic;
Mike must answer the ultimate
question, can a drugged up hippie
take on a dark criminal
underworld, hell-bent on getting
their hands on those fine, self
raising grains with only a fancy
jacket, a gun and a phone to his
name?
Behind
the Scenes*
Sometime
two years ago, somewhere, a young
student, Martin Lejeune, was
bored.
Not
only was he bored, but he had a
HE Media Project to complete.
He
had to write a short story, and
then, shock horror, go out and
film/edit it. Inspiration came
mere minutes later, causing him
to exclaim,
Poppycock! to his
peers and media lecturer, I
shall flabbergast you all with my
ideas of exuberant
proportions!.
And
flabbergast he did, splicing
together a few good ideas with
some good friends.
Ideas
in hand, Martin went into the
cupboard of writing excellence,
and emerged, hours later, having
battled the foul beasts of
redundancy with a shining script.
A tale of woe, betrayal, courage,
and most importantly of all
Flour.
Minutes
later, emerging from a seat of
directorial prowess the great and
legendary Tom Taylor emerged from
a thousand year slumber saying
lo! I have emerged from my
thousand year slumber, and I
shall direct and act in this film
of woe, betrayal courage and most
importantly of all
Flour! he also harboured
Video Cameras of great
excellence, and it was told thus;
however, it was not made clear
whether he harboured tripods, as
things get a little sketchy
around this point. A 2 young
gentleman called Nils and Alex
also approached him at this
point; Martin was taken aback by
Nil's great and all knowing pink
hair, and Alex's special ability
to act, and invited him to join
in as a noble and ever-great
actor in his epic to be.
Martin was
over the moon, he had a script,
people to act in a film, people
to direct the film. In his hands,
he held the potential to gain he,
and he others a distinction in
the Video Production work made
that year. Perhaps even a great
and worthwhile award of great
merit, akin to the great Dave
Brain (of Chemical Ali fame)
who was thus to be known as
Ornsack.
And
so, the now established
Broken Biscuit
production conglomerate emerged
from the Building of Veritable
learning, recording equipment at
hand, and hurriedly slapped
together a few funny scenes where
they all got to play around with
guns. To which Martin promised to
add banging noises and
effects later.
And
so, going away with a handful of
VHSs, Martin began the
great process of logging.
This
went on forever, and ever, and
ever, and ever
Sometime
after this, he managed to gather
the energy to actually edit the
film, and with the help and
support of all around him, over a
long weekend, comprising of
Thursday, Friday and Monday too,
Flour was finally
completed, and has yet to be
downloaded to this day.
*May
not be true.
